Most recently our Rockhampton branch was called upon to help Teys Bros Abattoir in their time of need when their main transformer had a catastrophic failure early one evening. This sudden loss of power left them with millions of dollars of product hanging with no refrigeration.
Darren Arnold, Branch Manager Rockhampton was contacted at 5pm and asked to provide an immediate solution. Darren worked closely with Steve Mazza, Onsite Product Sales Specialist – Power after hours to identify the best option for Teys Bros, which in this case involved coordinating with a local specialised power generation company to supply large generators.
Darren co-ordinated with all stakeholders throughout the night to supply 2 x 1500kva generators, fuel cells and leads and went to site to co-ordinate deliveries. By 12am, just seven hours after the call, the temporary power solutions were running at the abattoir and the 4am shift was able to operate as normal.
Teys Bros management called Darren later that morning sincerely thanking him and his team for all their efforts. This has strengthened our relationship with Central Queensland’s largest Abattoir
