Sustainability
Onsite recognises our responsibility to help protect the planet. We are committed to minimising the impact our company has on the environment and are committed to even better performance, greater transparency and accountability into the future.
Our strategy seeks to address greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) and waste across our company as we strive to continually improve our environmental practices. We also appreciate the importance of creating an inclusive and engaging environment in which all our team members can feel valued, included and empowered.
Our core objectives and progress towards achieving them will be assessed regularly to ensure they align with our key targets surrounding six key Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) pillars including:
- GHG emissions and decarbonisation
- Resource & asset efficiency, and water & waste management
- Employee safety & wellbeing & workplace culture
- Diversity and inclusion
- First Nations engagement and community relations
- Business responsibility.
Reconciliation
Onsite acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands where we operate and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and future.
In 2022 we began our formal reconciliation journey when we launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), an important step on our journey towards respectful and mutually beneficial relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Our RAP guides our evolving approach to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander engagement, and we are committed to using the nationally recognised framework to increase our efforts to build partnerships with First Nations people and communities through education, awareness and respect.
We partner with regional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities through recruitment, training, development and cultural awareness initiatives. In addition, through our membership of Supply Nation, forged in 2020, we partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander suppliers. We look forward to working with our partners and staff to deliver on our RAP commitments.
